Bea’s Block spotlights relatable preschool challenges faced by friends and neighbours, encouraging children to develop respect and care for others.

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week, 9.30am- 6pm
Salary: DOE
Contract: PAYE, 20 days annual leave + bank holidays
Start Date: September/October 2020
End Date: March 2021

Bea’s Block draws on the ubiquity of toy blocks to bring the vibrant, multicultural neighbourhood of Blocktown to life. Centred on bold and curious 5-year-old Bea and her two best block friends Ty and Lexi, the series follows the trio as they go on “Kindness Adventures” and help others in their community. Bea’s Block spotlights relatable preschool challenges faced by friends and neighbours, encouraging children to develop respect and care for others.

Portfolio Requirements:

  • Any previous work, personal or professional, which illustrates your passion for storytelling and storyboarding

General Duties:

  • To respond well to notes and be able to translate revisions during the storyboard review and animatic process
  • Adhere to the quality and style of the show and make sure it is consistently achieved in your drawing
  • Offer support to the Storyboard Artists, Director and Editor
  • Meet all deadlines as determined by Production

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • You must be passionate in your ambition to become a storyboard artist
  • Must have excellent drawing skills and the ability to adapt to a wide range of styles
  • Be confident and self-motivated when working alone or in a team
  • Must be confidant using Storyboard Pro
  • Strong communication, organisational, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Detail orientated and passionate about character animation
