Location: Full time, in-house preferred. (UK based remote applications will be considered)

A Productions are looking for a Junior 2D animator to work with us on an exciting new 2D pre-school series based on the well-known and much-loved series of children’s books, ‘Maisy’, by Lucy Cousins.

General Duties:

  • To collaborate with the Animation Director and other more senior animators to ensure that animation content meets the expectations of quality, consistency and style required by the production
  • To work together with the Animation Director and other members of the team to ensure shots are ready for review in a timely fashion prior to deadline
  • Incorporate any technical fixes and creative and logistical feedback as requested

Essential skills and experience

  • Previous experience of using ToonBoom Harmony
  • Must have strong observational skills, coupled with a good understanding of key animation principles (e.g. spacing and timing) in order to produce excellent character animation.
  • Strong ability to focus, attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of continuity
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with others to produce finished animation
