Rate: £1700 fixed fee

Location: In-house (Bristol) or Remote.

We’re looking for an experienced character rigger to create a high-quality rig for a non-human character in Autodesk Maya. We need a robust, user-friendly rig with a strong focus on building a flexible, expressive, and production-ready facial rig system.

General Duties:

  • Develop a robust, animator-friendly rig for a non-human biped character.
  • Create an advanced facial rig capable of a wide range of expressions and nuanced performances.
  • Ensure the rig is stable, efficient, and easy for animators to use.
  • Collaborate with the team to refine controls, deformation, and usability.

Essential skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience rigging characters in Maya.
  • Strong knowledge of facial rigging systems (blendshapes, joint-based rigs, hybrid setups, etc.).
  • Ability to create intuitive and animator-friendly controls.
  • Experience working with non-human/creature rigs a strong plus.
  • Ability to deliver within a 2-week timeframe.
