We recently welcomed Lily to A Productions for a 4-week internship and it was great to have her on board.
Asked about her experience of spending time at the studio, she said: “It’s been really good. I’ve learnt so much and everyone’s been really nice.”
Currently studying for a BA in Animation Production at Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), Lily, 23, said: “I didn’t know much about ToonBoom (animation software) and character rigging beforehand and the team has taught me how to do that, which has been great.
“I started with simple walk cycles using the character rigs, and now I’m getting assigned shots from the show.”
Lily, from South Wales, added: “I’ve had the chance to meet lots of people by spending half my time at one of A Productions’ studios and half my time at the other. Everyone’s been so great at teaching and supporting me.”
Duncan Fraser, head of production, said: “It’s been a pleasure having Lily as part of the crew these past few weeks. It’s important to us to offer opportunities to young people looking to break into the animation industry, sharing career advice with them as well as providing practical industry experience.”
