A Productions are looking for an Assistant Editor to work with us across our exciting slate of animation productions.

• Prepare picture and sound media i.e. ingesting and logging media from storyboarders, animation and final renders from the studio floor, scratch and production dialogue from recordings, sound effects and guide music
• Catalogue and maintain a digital library, including Walla libraries; organise backups for all media
• Liaise with other departments, such as Production/Animation to ensure smooth pipeline and editing sessions remain on schedule
• Create various deliverables for colleagues and clients (QTs, plates and reference for the studio floor, adding shot numbers, master files for PR and Sales, guide QTs for ADR)
• Help keep the edit suite operational with daily maintenance and project organisation
• Support the editor when required, assembling and amending animatics with appropriate project/media management
• Ensure all information is up to date on the tracking software, Ftrack
• Liaise with, and prepare media for delivery to, post-production for final picture and sound online
• Support senior editor across other projects as needed (to further highlight their potential cross-project requirements)
• Proven experience of using Avid Media Composer
• Confidence in working across multiple episodes on a long-form series and being able to multitask while each episode is in a different stage of the pipeline
• To balance a considerable workload and deliver consistently to deadlines, whilst reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced work environment
• Technical understanding of file formats, import settings, media management and colour space is an advantage.
• Previous experience of using tracking software would be a bonus, but is not a necessity.
• A calm, clear and organised attitude to work
• Communication skills, friendly persona and ability to work well with all different members of the production team.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and creativity
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the Edit team and production team as a whole
• Strong organisational skills
