It was a pleasure to welcome students once again this year to the A Productions studio to complete their work experience with us.
Chrissie, Reuben, Eva, Jasper and Cassandra spent time with the different departments to learn skills in design, 2D & 3D animation, 3D modelling and 3D rigging, as well as how the workflow is managed by the production team. The students came from a range of different local schools.

Hannah Murdoch, welfare and HR manager at A Productions, said: “The students impressed us with their ability to get to grips with the new software in a very short space of time, which resulted in some impressive animations and designs.”
Cassandra said: “I learned the basics of Blender, how to rig a 3D model, 2D and hand-drawn animation, 3D animation and got insights on how animation is produced. I am looking forward to a career in this industry. It is very enjoyable.”
Jasper said: “I was taught lots of skills in animation, the process of animating a show, and the licensing involved.”
Eva said: “It was tough stuff you had to learn in a short period of time, and it was all new to me but still fun.”
Chrissie: “The staff were helpful, and the learning process overall was refreshing.”
Reuben said: “I think I might like a career as a 2D animator one day.”
