We had a busy time at the annual Annecy Festival last week as once again the animation industry gathered in France to celebrate animation in all its forms.

During a packed programme of talks, screenings and presentations, we made lots of new connections and caught up with old friends.
The festival has established itself as a global event dedicated to animation over the last 60 years, where professionals from around the world come together to discuss and showcase the industry’s creative and diverse styles and techniques.
Our development producer Katie Barba was particularly excited to meet many new creators and discover emerging talent at the festival as part of A Productions’ ongoing drive to expand its development slate.
A productive week was capped with the festival awards, with Director Jo Hepworth staying on to attend the awards ceremony and celebrate that Pip & Posy Let’s Learn was nominated in the TV films category in the prestigious festival competition. Pip and Posy Let’s Learn is produced by Magic Light Pictures with animation services provided by our team here at A Productions.
We had a great time and the intrepid A Productions team even managed a swim in the lake! We look forward to returning again next year.
