Award recognition at Manchester Animation Festival

Andy Fossey, animation director in our team here at A Productions, has been recognised with an award nomination at Manchester Animation Festival.

Huge congratulations to Andy for being shortlisted for an Industry Excellence Award in Character Animation for his work on Pip and Posy Let’s Learn: Subtraction Shop episode. The winner will be announced on Thursday.

Katherine McQueen, joint managing director of A Productions, said: “This is much deserved recognition for Andy, who has made a huge contribution to this wonderful show. We will be keeping our fingers crossed for Thursday!”

Pip and Posy Let’s Learn, for 3 to 5 year-olds, is a new off-shoot from the hit show produced by Magic Light Pictures, based on the books illustrated by Axel Scheffler (The Gruffalo). The series is produced by Magic Light Pictures, with animation services provided by our team here at A Productions. The 26 five-minute episodes are available on Sky Kids.

Jo Hepworth and Katie Barba, from the A Productions team, will also be attending Manchester Animation Festival, which runs from 10-14 November. Catch Katie on the ‘Animated Answers: Doing IP Properly’ panel, sponsored by A Productions, on Monday at 11:45am at the Anthony Burgess Centre.
