Position – IT & Pipeline Support Assistant
Hours  – 37.5 hours per week, flexible working patterns available (occasional out of office hours required)
Contract – Fixed Term PAYE
Pay – £28,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience)
Holiday –
29 days holiday and half-day Fridays every month
Start date – June 2026
End date – June 2027 (fixed-term contract with possibility of extension)
Location – Bristol, UK – in-house.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to fill this hybrid role, which combines day-to-day IT support with involvement in production pipeline tools and workflows. You’ll ensure our studio runs smoothly while contributing to the development and maintenance of pipeline integrations (e.g. ftrack/shotgrid).

General Duties

  • Install, configure, and maintain software across artist workstations
  • Manage user accounts and permissions (Microsoft 365 and Active Directory)
  • Provide first-line day-to-day IT support (hardware, networking, troubleshooting)
  • Work with external IT support company on infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and installation
  • Support and maintain production tools and pipeline integrations.
  • Assist with automation and scripting tasks where appropriate.
  • Manage backups, archiving, and data integrity across projects.
  • Work with production and technical teams to improve workflows and file management

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in IT support, systems administration, or similar role
  • Familiarity with Windows/Mac environments in a studio setting
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Basic scripting ability (Python preferred)
  • Interest in animation/VFX pipelines and tools (ftrack, ShotGrid, Maya, Toonboom Harmony etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to liase directly with production teams to troubleshoot and maintain workflows.
  • Work on both project and day-to-day support issues simultaneously.
  • Experience with Animation software and processes – inc (but not limited to) Toonboom Harmony, Autodesk 3DS Max and Maya, Adobe CC suite
  • Knowledge of pipeline frameworks or asset management systems
  • Experience with cloud storage, backup strategies, or NAS systems
