The second and third series of JoJo & Gran Gran, the award-winning pre-school animated series, have proved to be a big success.
Series 2 outperformed its competition as the number one ranked kids’ show in its slot with a total reach of 2.1m (to date).
JoJo & Gran Gran is produced for CBeebies by BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions, in association with our team here at A Productions, who produced the animation. The show, which is inspired by characters created by Laura Henry-Allain, celebrates that special relationship between a grandparent and a child.
A Productions worked on all three series, which started airing in 2020, with the latest series launching earlier this year.
Series 3 (Spring 2023) averaged 207k viewers across all screens for the show’s 11 episodes, sitting in the top 5 highest ranking titles on CBeebies across 2023 and achieving the highest performing episode to date on the channel.
All figures up to date as of June 2023.
Katherine McQueen, joint managing director of A Productions, said: “We are proud to work on such a ground-breaking, inspirational show that has been so warmly embraced by young audiences across the UK. Key to our approach has been ensuring the authenticity of the characters and communities portrayed in the show and we are delighted that it’s been so well received.”
