A Productions are looking for an Edit Assistant to work with us on an exciting new 2D pre-school series based on a well-known and much-loved series of children’s books.

General Duties:
  • Prepare picture and sound media i.e. ingesting and logging media from storyboarders, animation and final renders from the studio floor, scratch and production dialogue from recordings, sound effects and guide music
  • Catalogue and maintain a digital library including Walla libraries; organise backups for all media
  • Liaise with other departments such as Production/Animation to ensure smooth pipeline and editing sessions remain on schedule
  • Create various deliverables for colleagues and clients (QTs, plates and reference for the studio floor, adding shot numbers, master files for PR and Sales, guide QTs for ADR)
  • Help keep the edit suite operational with daily maintenance and project organisation
  • Support the editor when required, assembling and amending animatics with appropriate project/media management
  • Ensure all information is up to date on the tracking software, Ftrack
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience of using NLE software
  • Confidence in working across multiple episodes on a long-form series and being able to multitask whilst each episode is in a different stage of the pipeline
  • To balance a considerable workload and deliver consistently to deadlines, whilst reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Knowledge of Avid Media Composer an advantage
  • Technical understanding of file formats, import settings, media management and colour space is an advantage.
  • Previous experience of using tracking software would be a bonus but is not a necessity.
