Position: Full time, inhouse preferred. (UK based remote applications will be considered)

A Productions are looking for a Designer with proven experience in the animation industry to work with us on an exciting new 2D pre-school series based on the well-known and much-loved series of children’s books, ‘Maisy’, by Lucy Cousins.

General Duties:
  • To work with the closely with the Art Director and Lead Designer to maintain the overall visual style for the series
  • To work with the Production team to meet the requirements of the schedule
  • Work with the Lead Designer to create episodic Background, Prop and Character designs, in line with the Clients and Director’s vision
  • Work with the Rigging team to ensure the character/prop designs work with any technical and production constraints
  • To work with the Layout Supervisor to ensure a smooth transition into Animation
Skills and experience:
  • Design experience on an animated broadcast series
  • Proven experience of working to a tight schedule
  • Excellent knowledge of Photoshop
  • Ability to create designs in line with an established visual style
